Policy laid down by the Health Department regarding non-delivery of unnecessary medicines.
Action will be taken at hospitals which do not give admission to Corona patients even when beds are available

Raipur: According to the new protocol issued by All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi and on the recommendation of senior doctors of the state, a new protocol has been issued by the Department of Health and Family Welfare, Chhattisgarh for treatment of Covid. Instructions have been issued as per recommendation of All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi and ICMR that Remedisivir, Tosilizumab and Plasma Therapy should be used only in hospitals. It will be the responsibility of the doctor prescribing these medicines to assess the need of the patient in relation to these medicines and also make sure that the patient does not have any other disease like kidney disease, heart disease, cancer etc. Medicines are currently experimental medicines. Therefore, before giving these medicines to any patient, it will be compulsory to obtain reward from the patient’s family.
Also, the state government has also directed that the use of these drugs will be audited by the State Medical Council and strict action will be taken against the doctor prescribing such medicines without any reason.
The state government has issued an order that 5 different teams will be formed by the Chief Medical and Health Officer Raipur, who will visit private hospitals to ensure that the availability of beds on the portal is kept up to date and in the event of beds becoming available Even the patient does not have to be deprived of admission. These visiting teams will also meet the patients in the hospitals to know whether the hospital is not being denied admission to the patients. If a hospital refuses to admit the patient in spite of beds being available, then in such a situation, the Chhattisgarh Nursing Home and Therapy Establishments Act 2010 and Rules 2013, Pandemic of Act 1897 and C.G. Action will be taken against such hospitals under paragraph 3 of Epidemic Disease Covid-19 Regulations 2020.
