New Delhi: The violence in Manipur started on May 3. And on May 4, a shameful incident for the whole country, whose video is going viral on social media these days, is a very disgusting and shameful incident for the country, but the failure of the double engine government, which prides itself on respecting women, has put the whole country to shame on the world stage.


Strongly condemning this shameful act, Chief Justice DY Chandrachud has directed the Manipur government to take immediate action against those responsible for the incident. Whatever action is taken against the accused, the court should be informed about it. He has said that what happened to both the women is completely unacceptable, the government should take immediate action on it. The bench of Chief Justice Chandrachud, Justice PS Narasimha and Justice Manoj Mishra said that we are giving some time to the government. If nothing happens on the ground further, we will take action ourselves. The Supreme Court said that using women as objects in the field of communal conflict is a violation of the Constitution.
