Raipur. The Election Commission team on Thursday reached Raipur for preparations for the upcoming assembly elections in Chhattisgarh. A team of senior officials of the Election Commission held a meeting with top officials of the state, including the Collector, SP, at the New Circuit House here. In the meeting, security during elections, sensitive booths, availability of security forces, second special summary revision of voter list were discussed.
Verification of door-to-door list from BLO, updating of control table, rationalization or rearrangement of polling stations, removal of discrepancies in voter list or EPIC, replacement of bad photo in voter list with good photo, section were discussed in detail. Reorganization of polling stations and restructuring of boundaries, initial publication of integrated voter list and settlement of claim objections on August 2 were were also discussed in the meeting.
