Raipur: The Chhattisgarh Environmental Protection Mandal, EIACP launched an innovative initiative to bring awareness of the people in the field of environmental protection where in there was a target to take oath to change their daily life for environmental protection. Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel had appealed to the participants in this campaign of the Environmental Protection Mandal from the territories that it is not a sword but a mass campaign, which will establish a record in New Chhattisgarh.
The Chief Minister’s appeal had an effect and people of every section in the state took part in the campaign of Chhattisgarh Environment Protection Board and in one day more than 12 lakh 38 thousand 116 people set a world record by taking the oath of environmental protection. In Raipur district, the world record of maximum number of oaths in a day was broken and Mandal registered its name in Limca Book of Records with 1 lakh 75 thousand 209 oaths. Along with this, more than 12 lakh 38 thousand 116 people registered their names in India Star Book of Records and World Record Book by taking oath in the entire state. While thanking the people of the state Housing and Environment Minister of Chhattisgarh, Mohammad Akbar and Chairman of Chhattisgarh Environment Protection Board, Subrat Sahu have congratulated the officers and employees of the board. Member Secretary of the Board R.P. Tiwari thanked all those involved in this public participation.
