Telangana. The first such case has come to light in Telangana when a person used Artificial Intelligence Technology ChatGPT to cheat in the exam. This has been revealed in the investigation of Telangana State Public Service Commission’s question paper leak case. This exam was conducted for the posts of Assistant Executive Engineer and Divisional Account Officer. The accused sat outside and told the answers to the examinees through earbuds. The SIT came to know about this when 35-year-old Pula Ramesh was arrested. He was a Divisional Engineer in the Telangana State Northern Power Distribution Company Limited. After this the whole story came out that how he extracted the answers to the questions from ChatGPT and also told it to the candidates.
It may be mentioned that the language model tool ChatGPT is now being used in business, education, customer support and other works. Even many countries around the world are now planning to use it for policy making. But the question is how useful is artificial intelligence and how dangerous can it prove to be. Many negative aspects of this have started coming to the fore. Recently during a court hearing, the lawyer had taken the help of ChatGPT but later it was found that all the references given by ChatGPT were false. The lawyer was very upset on this. When the opposition scrutinized the quotes of the lawyer, it was found that nothing was said without facts to win the case. The counsel then admitted that he was unaware of the false information provided by ChatGPT.
