News Edition 24 Desk: Ishita Kishore (roll number 5809986) has secured the first position in the entire country in the UPSC Civil Services 2022 exam. She had passed the examination with Political Science and International Relations as optional subjects. She is a graduate in Economics (Hons) from Shri Ram College of Commerce, University of Delhi. Ishita Kishore, who was the All India Topper in the UPSC CSE 2022 exam, has always been a topper. Ishita, who studied at Air Force Bal Bharti School and Shri Ram College of Commerce, Delhi, had decided in her childhood that she would become an IAS officer.

Ishita Kishore’s father is an officer in the Airforce and the whole family lives in Greater Noida. Ishita completed her 12th standard from Bal Bharti in the year 2014, after which she completed her graduation from Shri Ram College of Commerce in 2017 with Economics Honors. This was her third attempt in the UPSC exam. Ishita was waiting for the result today, but she had no idea that she would become the All India Topper. As soon as the result came, her name got covered everywhere. When she told this to her mother, she too started dancing with joy. Ishita told that I have always seen my father ready to serve the country. That’s why seeing my father, I had thought in my childhood that when I grow up, I will also do such a job in the interest of the country, so that I can serve the country like my father.

Ishita told that she studied at home for UPSC. Her optional subjects were Political Science and International Relations. To a query, it was the third attempt, so did you feel that this time you have a chance? Ishita said that all the aspirants have expectations during the interview. I had worked hard, so I was sure that I will get it out this time. The Civil Services Prelims Examination, 2022 was organized on June 05, 2022. A total of 11,35,697 candidates applied for this exam out of which 5,73,735 candidates appeared in the exam. A total of 13,090 candidates were qualified to appear in the written (Mains) examination to be held in September, 2022. A total of 2,529 candidates qualified for the interview. The final results have been released today on 23rd May.
