Raipur – EOW and ACB today took a big action in the tendupatta bonus scam and arrested Indian Forest Service officer Ashok Patel. Ashok Patel is the former DFO of Sukma in Bastar division. The state government had suspended the DFO last month in the tendupatta bonus scam.
After the suspension of the state government, EOW raided many places of DFO. Many important evidences of bonus scam were found in this. It is said that in Sukma, bonus was distributed to fake people in the name of tendu leaf collectors.
It is known that recently the team of EOW and ACB raided Sukma district of Chhattisgarh. This action was taken as part of the investigation of the alleged scam related to tendu leaves. Apart from the house of former MLA and CPI leader Manish Kunjam, raids were conducted at the places of tendu leaf managers in Jagargunda, Palachalma, Konta and Errabor areas. In the action, the team found many important documents and cash.
