Raipur: In Chhattisgarh’s much hyped liquor scam case, former Excise Minister Kawasi Lakhma was produced in Raipur’s EOW (Economic Offenses Investigation Bureau) special court today. After the hearing, the court ordered Lakhma to be sent on 14-day judicial remand. Now he will remain in judicial custody till April 25.
It may be mentioned that the case is related to the alleged liquor scam of Rs 2,161 crore, in which serious allegations are made against Lakhma. Lakhma’s role is being thoroughly investigated in the EOW investigation. Lakhma has been questioned several times in this case before, and his bail plea was rejected by the court.
