Raipur: Vidya Ratan Bhasin, MLA of Bharatiya Janata Party from Vaishali Nagar, passed away this morning at 02:46 am at Ramakrishna Care Hospital in the capital Raipur during treatment. He was 76 years old. His last rites will be performed at Ramnagar Muktidham today.
MLA Vidya Ratan Bhasin was undergoing treatment at Ramakrishna Care Hospital in capital Raipur. He has been ill for a long time. His condition turned critical on Thursday afternoon. When his condition worsened, he was immediately put on ventilator in the hospital, during which the news of his death also spread.
Bhasin had won the 2018 assembly elections in the midst of a Congress wave. He was ill for the last several days and was admitted at Ramakrishna Hospital in Raipur this month.
Vidyartan Bhasin was a senior leader of Chhattisgarh BJP. At present, he was an MLA from Vaishali Nagar assembly seat, before that he had also served as the mayor of Bhilai Municipal Corporation.
In the month of February also, the health of MLA Vidyartan Bhasin had deteriorated a lot. Blood clotting had frozen in his brain. At that time he was admitted to a private hospital in Raipur for treatment. He was running ill for a long time. He was admitted to Ramakrishna Care Hospital 10 days ago due to deteriorating health, where he breathed his last on Thursday, 22 June.
