Raipur. The displeasure of veteran leaders has come to the fore in the core committee meeting of the State Congress Committee held on Thursday. Party leaders were reported upset over the appointment in the Congress organization. A day before, on the orders of Chhattisgarh Pradesh Congress Committee President Mohan Markam, new charges have been given to the office bearers of the State Congress.
Immediately after the PCC core committee meeting today, an order has been issued to restore the changed responsibility of General Secretary Ravi Ghosh. As per new order Arun Sisodia has been given responsibility of General Secretary Administration and Organization; General Secretary Ravi Ghosh Bastar division in-charge; General Secretary Amarjit Chawla Raipur city; Youth Congress and NSUI in-charge, Vice President Pratima Chandrakar; Rajnandgaon in-charge, General Secretary Chandrashekhar Shukla; Mohla Manpur in-charge, General Secretary Yashravdhan Rao will handle training in-charge post.
It may be mentioned that the BJP had also taken a jibe regarding the change in the post of General Secretary in-charge in the PCC. Reacting to the major change in the Congress organization, BJP State General Secretary OP Chowdhary has described it as an example of the biggest tussle between power and the Congress organization. Chaudhary said that Congress General Secretary Amarjit Chawla, whose complaint was made to AICC before the Congress session, has been given the responsibility of capital Raipur.
Talking to the media at Raipur Airport in the morning, Kumari Shailaja said “The divisional conference has been completed. The office bearers have been instructed to go among the workers. Every Congress leader will reach the booth. Will work at the grassroots level”, said Kumari Shailaja. On the allegations of BJP leader OP Chaudhary regarding the change in the organization, she said – this is an internal matter of the party. There is better coordination between both the government and the organization.
