Narayanpur/Chotedongar: The matter is of village Dhaudai, 35 km from the district headquarters, where the villagers had demanded construction of about 170 m CC road from the main road to the hospital in Gaitapara. After which the collector directed the district CEO and started the construction of the road. In the past, CC road was constructed on this route which had become quite dilapidated. On the demand of the villagers, a new road was being constructed on this dilapidated road.
Villagers pointed that some anti-social elements are hindering the development of the village, who do not want the development of the village. They further stated that media were called by such people and the news was published in a wrong way, due to which the construction of the road has been stopped. Villagers said that the road is being constructed by the district administration in the interest of the village.
Then why the road construction work was stopped midway. The villagers told that all the villagers will meet the collector on Monday and request him to construct the road again. Infuriated villagers held a meeting in Dhaudai Gaitapara on Saturday in protest against the closure of the road construction work in the middle. In the meeting they unanimously decided to press the demand of resuming the road construction work.
