Dantewada: Political indifferences with in the party has come to fore in the city of Adishakti Mai Danteshwari located in Dantewada, Chhattisgarh. In order to get rid of the problems of security, jam and encroachment, the administration is installing railings on the footpath on the main road. The work was appreciated by the in-charge minister Kawasi Lakhma as people-oriented, yet district panchayat president Tulika Karma is gearing up for staging chakka jam by going against the government and her own party for her political gains.

It may be mentioned that iron railings are being installed by the district administration to save people from overcrowding and keeping in mind the safety of those taking a walk with their families on the path way. The said work has been appreciated not only by Minister Kawasi Lakhma but also by the head priest of the temple, Jia family and many senior Congress leaders. Not only this, the leaders of the main opposition BJP have also praised it. Besides, various organizations including the business fraternity have also given their consent. People opined that this barricading will not only stop encroachment, but it will also provide convenience to children, women and old people coming for walk in the path way.


Despite the minister in-charge Lakhma telling the barricading work of Maa Danteshwari Sarovar is in the interest of the public, the District Jila Panchayat president is gearing up for staging chakka jam by going against her own party. The district president had staged a sit-in earlier also regarding this issue and threatened to break the railing with JCB. The district administration has already assured for the livelihood of the people on the footpath.


ADM Kannoje assured the potters and other retail shopkeepers that the administration is making alternate arrangements for them. After assurances, the footpath vendors distanced themselves from this movement. Even the number of people was very few when Jila Panchayat president visited the area the other day.
