New Delhi: The Delhi Police may file a charge-sheet on Thursday (June 15) in the case of sexual harassment against the outgoing President of Wrestling Federation of India, Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh. According to sources in ABP News, the police may submit a charge sheet against BJP MP Brij Bhushan Singh in the court around 12 noon on Thursday. Meanwhile, Brij Bhushan Singh said that let the charge sheet be filed. “I have nothing to say on the matter because the case is going on in the court and I am awaiting the decision”.
It may be mentioned that recently the protesting wrestlers Sakshi Malik and Bajrang Punia had a meeting with Union Sports Minister Anurag Thakur.
It may also be mentioned that Anurag Thakur had told that the Delhi Police has been asked to file a charge sheet on the case by June 15. Union Sports Minister Anurag Thakur had a meeting with wrestlers Bajrang Punia and Sakshi Malik on 7 June. Describing the meeting as positive, Thakur had said that the WFI elections would be held by June 30. Apart from this, it has been decided to form the Internal Complaints Committee of WFI and make a woman its president. On the other hand, wrestlers Sakshi Malik and Bajrang Punia had told that they have postponed the movement till July 15. Apart from this, the Delhi Police has been asked to withdraw the FIR registered against the wrestlers on May 28.
