In the viral video of the adoption center, a woman is seen mercilessly beating up a girl child. The child who has suffered atrocities is an orphan, whom the parents left considering her a burden. The woman reportedly seen beating the child is Seema Dwivedi, the program manager of the Adoption Center. Her job is to take care of the girls brought here and provide them proper facilities. But leaving all this, the manager was seen busy in beating and thrashing the children.
It may be mentioned that Orphan children from 0 to 6 years are kept in this adoption center of Kanker. Outsiders are not allowed to come here. Keeping in mind the safety of children, CCTV cameras have also been installed here. For the safety of children, 8 CCTV cameras have been installed in the verandah, gate and other places. Which the program manager switch off every night. Such activities of the manager raises questions on the safety of the girls.
