Second special short revision qualification program to be held on 01 October 2023.
Dantewada: The Election Commission of India, New Delhi and the Chief Electoral Officer, Chhattisgarh Raipur, keeping in view the upcoming Vidhansabha Election-2023, have issued a program in connection with the second special brief revision of the photo electoral rolls on October 01, 2023. On May 26, 2023, a meeting of political parties was organized and apprised about the second special brief revision program and BLAs from political parties at the polling station level. They were urged to provide necessary cooperation.
According to the second special summary revision program, from May 25, 2023 to June 23, 2023, house-to-house verification of voters will be done. Polling stations will be done from 24 June 2023 to 24 July 2023. Under which proposal for polling station building change, site change, name change and new polling stations will be prepared. The initial publication of the voter list will be done on August 02, 2023 and from August 02 to August 31, 2023, claim objections will be received for addition of name in the voter list, deletion, modification and transfer in each polling station. Along with this, special camps will be organized in polling booths on August 12 (Saturday), August 13 (Sunday) and August 19 (Saturday) August 20 (Sunday). The claim objections received will be resolved by 22 September 2023. Apart from this, application can also be made through https://www.nvsp.in/ and Voter Help Line app for addition of name in voter list, deletion in voter list, amendment and transfer.
Collector and District Election Officer, Vineet Nandanwar has appealed to the common citizens to include the names of youths and newly married brides who have completed 18 years of age on October 01, 2023, in the voter list. Along with this, common citizens can go to the polling station during the revision program and ensure that their name is correctly registered in the voter list or not. Common citizens should take their own initiative, actively participate in the second special brief revision program and cooperate in making an updated, clean and error-free voter list.
