Whatsapp takes major action on user complaints, banned over 30 lakh accounts..

News Edition 24 Desk: WhatsApp company said in its report released on Tuesday that more than 30 lakh Indian accounts have been banned by WhatsApp between June 16 and July 31. The actual number of suspended accounts is 30,27,000. Due to that, the messaging platform received 594 complaints. In fact, the account has been suspended on complaints including improper use of forwarding message app, etc.

The same WhatsApp in its new report said that from 16th June to 31st July, the company has received 594 user reports on 137 account support, 316 ban appeals, 45 other support, 64 product support, and 32 safety. According to the report, 74 accounts were processed due to this period. The action here means either blocking the account and restoring an account.


The report says that an Indian account is identified through a +91 phone number. Earlier, WhatsApp reported that more than 95 percent of the bans are due to misuse of automated or bulk messaging (SPAM). WhatsApp has about 8 million accounts per month in the number of global average accounts to prevent misuse on its platform. A WhatsApp spokesperson said, “Social media middlemen in India should publish their compliance reports as per its rules 2021.’
