The final of Bastar Olympics was held on 15 December in which the country’s Home Minister Amit Shah was the chief guest, Chhattisgarh Chief Vishnu Dev Sai was the president and special guest Chhattisgarh Home Minister Vijay Sharma was the chief guest. An incident happened in this event which made everyone emotional.
In fact, artists from Rajnandgaon presented the situation of Naxal-affected villagers in front of everyone through a street play. In this event, a young artist Nagesh Pathari performed his act even two hours after his father’s death. This incident was inspiring for everyone. Nagesh’s father G.R. Pathari died of a heart attack on December 15 at 1 pm in Rajnandgaon. When his father died, Nagesh was present in the Bastar Olympic Final in Jagdalpur.
His program was scheduled to be presented in front of Amit Shah ji at 3 pm. Nagesh was playing the lead role in this play. Even after hearing the news of his father’s death, Nagesh gave priority to the performance of his play. By suppressing the grief of his father in a corner of his mind, he sang, danced and proved the English proverb “The Show Must Go On” right.
This determination and dedication of Nagesh impressed the audience as well as all the guests present on the stage.

Nagesh believes that his father would also have wanted him to complete his performance. This emotional moment of Nagesh made the Bastar Olympics even more emotional. This determination of Nagesh, who has been working in the acting field for the last ten years, filled all his fellow artists with new energy. This incident tells us how emotionally challenging the life of an artist is and how he remains self-determined to complete his performance even in any difficult situation.
