News Edition 24 Desk: The intoxication of liquor scam is still at its peak in Chhattisgarh. The morale of the alleged tainted officers is so high that they neither fear the ED nor the BJP government, nor are they concerned with the public. The investigation of the liquor scam is being affected due to the dominance of scammers in the Excise Department. Almost two months have passed since the new government assumed power in Chhattisgarh, yet the work and initiatives of the old Congress government in the Excise Department are continuing in full swing. Under this, efforts to issue FL 10 A license are in full swing. It is said that this license for Som Distillery Bhopal has also been renewed.

During the Congress rule, a large-scale liquor scam was allegedly carried out under the leadership of Bhupesh Baghel. It is said that the sale of liquor worth Rs 20 thousand crores annually was under the patronage of the then Chief Minister Bhupesh. However, the Enforcement Directorate was able to obtain concrete evidence only of about Rs 2 thousand crores. Therefore, only a few officers and contractors are under arrest in this case. In the new era, after the BJP government came to power, the process of sending the accused who escaped in the liquor scam to their original locations has also started. Under this, investigation has also been started against those issuing FL 10 licenses. It is said that the remnants of the remaining accused in the liquor scam are still entrenched in the Excise Department. Under the guise of new licenses, these elements are again busy in carrying out cases of liquor chaos.

According to the information, the alleged tainted officers have again started renewing the FL 10 A license to lay the foundation of the liquor scam. The fresh license has recently been reassigned to the stakeholders associated with Som Distilleries of Bhopal. This license was issued to the first three businessmen of the ED raid during the Congress regime. It was being used by only one person (hotelier).

As soon as the Congress government left the office, information has come to light that the old license has been renewed in favor of Som Distillery in a very confidential manner. It is also being told that after the ED raid, a licensee named Saurabh had not got his renewal done. The excise staff has shown interest in handing over this license to some other contractor. Its threads are said to be connected to a company named “C” Gram, which was in the news in the liquor scam in Delhi. Sources are saying that now this company will start its business afresh in Chhattisgarh in collaboration with Som Distillery of Bhopal. Its outline has also been prepared. It is said that this gang still includes the same members who had carried out the fake draft scandal worth crores in the Excise Department of Raipur during undivided Madhya Pradesh. FL 10 A license was misused by them even during the rule of Bhupe led Congress government. There are chances of the same situation being created again under the current government.

According to sources it’s reported that even before the end of March, this license has once again been handed over to Som Distilleries, which has created a sensation in the department. Many senior officers are said to be not satisfied with this. The fact has also come to light that the officers who have been there for years have played an important role in the renewal of licenses. He is still following the instructions of the then jailed Excise Secretary Arunpati Tripathi.

According to the information, during the Corona transition period, GST scam and sanitizer scam were carried out by Som Dislery in Bhopal. In this case, company chief Jagdish Arora and Ajay Arora were detained in jail for several days. It is alleged that Bhupesh, in collusion with them, had given special favor to this company for business in Chhattisgarh also. Its culmination came to light in the form of liquor scam. The names of the then Secretary of the Excise Department, Arunpati Tripathi, and a famous hotelier are again in the headlines. It’s alleged that this gang has become active again. Sources reveal that the tainted officers are still glued to their chairs. Due to this, renewal of FL 10 A license issued by the previous Congress government has been started again. The interesting thing is that some responsible officers had kept this matter away from the eyes of the present BJP government. But now information is coming to light that the license game is still going on.
