Livestock Development Department Sukma facilitated beneficiaries on the occasion of World Tribal Day.

Livestock Development Department distributed cheque amounting Rs 4000 each to 15 beneficiaries for poultry, 05 pigs and 05 male goats to 05 beneficiaries under the Backyard Poultry Farming Scheme.

Sukma Bureau: On the occasion of World Tribal Day on Wednesday, following the directives of Cabinet Minister Kawasi Lakhma and under the guidance of Collector, Haris S; Superintendent of Police, Chief Executive Officer District Panchayat and Member of Chhattisgarh State Animal Welfare Board, District Panchayat Vice President, Chairman Municipal Council, in the presence of President District Panchayat Sukma, Chhindgarh and Konta, under Livestock Development Department’s Aajeevika Mulak Yojana, under Backyard Poultry Farming Scheme, 30 beneficiaries of FRA village Rajamunda, RIR breed chicks, male goat distribution scheme to five beneficiaries Under this, a cheque of Rs 4000 was given for the purchase of breedable male goat of advanced breed and materials were distributed to five beneficiaries benefiting under Sukratrayi schemes, informed Dr. S Zaharuddin, Deputy Director Live Stock Development Department Sukma.

Speaking on the occasion, Excise Minister, Kawasi Lakhma said that the state government has declared World Tribal Day as a holiday to promote the conservation of tribal culture. He said that tribals are the pride of Chhattisgarh state, whose cultural development as well as meaningful efforts are being made for social and economic development, which are definitely getting results.
