New Delhi: The Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) has announced date for the launch of the much-awaited lunar mission ‘Chandrayaan-3’. Officials said on Wednesday (June 28) that Chandrayaan-3 will be launched on July 13 at 2:30 pm.


It may be mentioned that earlier on September 7, 2019, India’s second lunar mission ‘Chandrayaan-2’ could not soft land on the surface of the moon. It was to land near the south pole of the Moon’s surface. When it was about to land on the Moon’s surface, its contact with the lander Vikram was lost. Prime Minister Modi had also reached ISRO’s headquarters in Bengaluru at that time to witness the historic moment.
