Complaint registered against BJP President J.P Nadda and IT Cell chief Amit Malviya…

Bengaluru: The Karnataka Congress on Monday filed a complaint against BJP national president JP Nadda and party’s IT cell chief Amit Malviya for alleged post against Rahul Gandhi. RDPR, IT and BT Minister Priyank Kharge and KPCC spokesperson Ramesh Babu have filed a complaint over the release of an animated video of Rahul Gandhi claiming that the ‘Congress is involved in anti-national activities’. A complaint has also been filed against Chandigarh BJP state president Arun Sood.

According to information Amit Malviya posted an animated video on June 17 from his official account. Minister Priyank said, in that video it has been claimed that the Congress party is involved in anti-national activities and whenever Rahul Gandhi goes abroad, he indulges in anti-national activities. It is also shown in the video that Congress and Rahul Gandhi are allegedly dividing the country. “We have decided to shut down the factory of lies being run by the BJP,” he said. They could have got away with it because they had a government here and the fact-checking unit was closed then. BJP workers themselves created fake news. We will not let this happen anymore. The fact-check unit will be strengthened. I have already spoken to the CM. The posts which are communal, disturbing peace will be dealt with and strict action will be taken. Priyank Kharge said, we will also talk to the Home Department and form a separate squad for the fact-checking process.

They (BJP) have always been indulged in posting such messages and sow seeds of hatred and create fear, he said. When JP Nadda being in a responsible post allegedly post fake news, we cannot sit silent. He has to prove the allegations leveled against him, said Priyank. He further said, we have filed a complaint under sections 505 (2), 553 (A), 120 (B), 34 of the IPC. Let them come to Bengaluru and tell how Congress is indulging in anti-national activities. Otherwise, apologize and give a letter to the effect that he will not make such allegations in future, pointed Priyank.
