Cracks in Shiv Sena-BJP alliance in Maharashtra ?

Mumbai: For the last two weeks rumours are making round that things are not going well between two big leaders of the Maharashtra government. If these reports are to be believed then the two top leaders of the state BJP Shiv Sena government and the state CM Eknath Shinde and Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis are at loggerheads and both the leaders are not seen sharing the stage with each other. It is being told that Devendra Fadnavis is unhappy with Eknath Shinde over some issues, so for the second consecutive day he is seen avoiding sharing the stage with CM Shinde. The 75th Foundation Day celebrations of the Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation is being celebrated in Mumbai today. The names of CM Shinde and Deputy CM Fadnavis have been printed on the invitation card but there is no mention of their coming here.

Is Eknath Shinde’s advertisement a reason?

On June 13, the Shiv Sena had published a controversial advertisement in state newspapers in which Shinde faction had written that Modi for the country and Shinde for Maharashtra. Fadnavis distanced himself from a program organized in Kolhapur after the publication of this advertisement. It was told from his office that he is not going to Kolhapur because of his ear problem, but he could not give any information about the meaning of not sharing the stage with CM Shinde for the second day today. Another controversial point has come to the fore in the advertisement published on Tuesday in which Shinde has been described as more popular than Fadnavis in the state. A survey published in the advertisement pointed 26.1% people likes the state CM Eknath Shinde for the CM post while 23.2% people likes Fadnavis. If experts are to be believed, this could be a big reason for the controversy.
