
New Delhi: The petition demanding inauguration of the New Parliament House has been rejected by the Supreme Court on Friday. During the hearing, the court said – why such Petition is brought ? What is the interest in it? After this, the petitioner Advocate Jaya Sukin withdrew the pitition and said that she will not even go to the High Court. During the hearing, Justice Maheshwari said – After the debate for a long time, the petition has been sought after. He asked the Solicitor General – Mr. SG, would you have any problems? SG Mehta said on this – taking the petition means that she will go to the High Court and debate. The court should say that there will not ne any debate in this case. After this, the petitioner Advocate Jaya Sukin withdrew the petition. She said that she will not even go to the High Court. Sukin filed this petition on Thursday. She had said that the Lok Sabha Secretariat has violated constitutional norms by not inviting the President. Hence Lok Sabha Secretariat, the Ministry of Home Affairs and Law should be made the party.

The petitioner said – The President is first citizen of the country. All the work is done on President’s behalf. Advocate Jaya Sukin said in the petition – on May 18, on behalf of the Lok Sabha Secretariat stated that the new Parliament will be inaugurated Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Parliament is made up of both the Houses. The President is the first citizen of the country. The President has the power to call and end the parliament session. The same appoints the Prime Minister and other ministers and all the work are done only in the name of the President. The Lok Sabha Secretariat has issued a thought-in-minded order in arbitrary way by not inviting the President Draupadi Murmu in the innagration of the new Parliament House, alleged the Advocate. The President has the power of executive, legislative, judicial and military”, added the Advocate.

The Opposition stated that the decision to get inaugurate new Parliament house by Prime Minister bypassing President Draupadi Murmu is not only serious humiliation, but it is also a direct attack on democracy.
Meanwhile, 25 parties including BJP will be attending the inaugural ceremony.
