Sukma: Excise and Industries minister Kawasi Lakhma inaugurated Manva Millet Cafe at Swami Vivekananda Complex in Sukma the other day. Residents of Sukma district including students preparing for competitive exams will also be able to taste dishes made of millets like Ragi, Kodo-Kutki, Jowar at Swami Vivekananda Campus Center Manva Millet Cafe, located on the way to Konta said Lakhma.

At the outset minister Lakhma said that now the youth coming to study in Swami Vivekananda campus will get diet of nutritious millets. This cafe will also be important for the participants in terms of nutrition. With this, students will be able to easily deal with the challenges of staying healthy along with studies. Manwa Cafe has been started with the initiative of the district administration. For this, minister Lakhma lauded the efforts of Collector Mr. Haris. S and praised the officers and employees of the municipality.

Minister Lakhma has appealed to the residents of the city to go to the Millet Cafe and enjoy delicious and healthy dishes made of millets like ragi, kodo, kutki, as well as other types of dishes. He said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, Mission Millet has been started in the state to increase the production of coarse grains and small grain crops like Ragi, Kodo, Kutki, and to ensure good arrangements for their procurement. Along with fixing the support price of Kodo, Kutki and Ragi, the state government has also included them in the purview of the Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana.
