Mumbai: Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut has made a statement today i.e. In this statement, he said, “The absence of a picture of former Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru in a poster released by an institution of the Union Education Ministry on the 75th anniversary of India’s independence shows the Centre’s “narrow mindset” and asked the Central government why it hates Nehru so much.
In fact, today Sanjay Raut wrote in his weekly column in Shiv Sena mouthpiece Saamna, “The Indian Council of History Research (ICHR), an autonomous body of the Ministry of Education, did not put pictures of Nehru and Maulana Abul Kalam Azad in its poster and alleged that it was an act of ‘political vendetta.”‘At the same time, he also claimed that those who have not contributed to the struggle for freedom and to create history are joining the heroes of the freedom struggle. This act done because of political vendetta is not good and it shows their narrow mindset. It is an insult to every freedom fighter.
Referring to the recently announced National Monetisation Pipeline Scheme by the Centre, he said, “What did Nehru do that he got hated so much? Rather, the institutions they built are now being sold for the pace of the Indian economy.” He further added, “You cannot destroy the immortal contribution of Nehru and former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi to nation-building. Those who repudiated Nehru’s contribution will be described as the villains of history.”
