News Edition 24 Desk: Bollywood actress Dimple Kapadia was born on 8 June 1957 in a Gujarati family in Mumbai. His father Chunibhai Kapadia was a businessman, but Dimple Kapadia’s interest was towards acting from the beginning. This was the reason why he started acting at the age of just 16. Dimple Kapadia was given a chance in films by actor Raj Kapoor.
Dimple Kapadia made her Bollywood debut in the year 1973 with the film Bobby. Along with this film, Rishi Kapoor also started his career as a lead actor. Dimple Kapadia dominated the big screen with her very first film. She received the Filmfare Best Actress Award for the film Bobby. When Dimple Kapadia worked in this film, she was only 16 years old.

After Bobby, Dimple Kapadia has acted in several films including Wounded Sher, Atbar, Sagar, Aakhri Adalat, Narasimha, Ajooba, Ram Lakhan, Cocktail, and Angrezi Medium and has won the hearts of the audience. The film Rudali released in the year 1993 is one of the important films of Dimple Kapadia. In this film set against the backdrop of Rajasthan, she played the character of a young woman named Shanichari who is unable to cry even after all the grief. However, the film proved unsuccessful at the ticket window. But, Dimple won the hearts of the audience as well as the critics with her strong acting. Dimple also received the National Award for Rudali.
