Sukma: Collector Devesh Kumar Dhruv reviewed the process of soil sample collection and soil health card distribution at the Collectorate premises, Sukma. During this, he took information about all aspects of the soil sample collection process. The collector emphasized on delivering soil health cards to farmers on time and promoting it as much as possible under the Sampoornata Abhiyan. He directed the concerned officials to make farmers aware about the benefits of soil health cards and extend its benefits to maximum farmers.

The collector asked to ensure that regular meetings are held with the farmers by all the agriculture officers, where they are made aware of the benefits of soil health card. During this, Deputy Director Agriculture, Assistant Director Agriculture, and all the Rural Agriculture Extension Officers of Sukma development block were present.

Deputy Director Agriculture PR Baghel said that under the Sampurnata Abhiyan, soil cards are being distributed to the farmers after collecting soil samples in the district and testing them. He said that soil sample collection is an important process, under which soil samples are taken from the fields so that its chemical, physical and biological quality can be analyzed. On the basis of this analysis, farmers are given information about the health of their soil, so that they can use the right manure and fertilizer in their farming.
