News Edition 24 Desk: On one hand, there is a political uproar after reports of the use of animal fat and fish oil in the prasad laddus of Tirupati Balaji temple in Andhra Pradesh. On the other hand, after the allegations of adulteration in the laddus, Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister and Janasena Party leader, Pawan Kalyan announced that he will do penance for 11 days from Sunday. During this time he will also fast, his penance will be at Sri Dashavatara Venkateswara Swamy Temple in Guntur district.

Pawan Kalyan wrote in a message, “Oh, Balaji Bhagwan! Forgive me Lord. Tirumala Laddu Prasad, which is considered extremely sacred, has been defiled due to the negligence and improper actions of former rulers. Only cruel-hearted people can commit this sin of contamination with animal fat. It is a blot on Hindu society that we could not recognize it earlier. When I came to know about this, my mind became extremely disturbed. I feel guilty that I could not understand this problem earlier.

He appealed to the followers of Sanatan Dharma and said, “Any person who believes in Sanatan Dharma should atone for this terrible crime. In this spirit, I have decided to fast for 11 days. I pray to God to give me the strength to wash away this sin.”

He said that the conduct of the former rulers who destroyed the sanctity and religious duties of Tirumala has deeply hurt the sentiments of the Hindu society. The use of animal fat in Laddu Prasad is a serious insult to Hinduism. Pawan Kalyan said that now the time has come to restore the religion.
