The double engine government is insulting the hard work of the farmers by rotting the paddy. Rotting of paddy is pointing towards paddy scam. Deliberate negligence has been shown in the maintenance of paddy.
State Congress Communication Department President Sushil Anand Shukla said that during the Congress government, bumper paddy was purchased in the last 5 years and custom milling was done on time. Proper and adequate arrangements for the maintenance of paddy were made before paddy procurement. After the formation of the BJP government, huge negligence has come to the fore in the paddy procurement centers. The BJP government, which claims to develop the state in the double engine government, has been exposed. Their own central government is not showing interest in storing rice made from paddy. From the circumstances that have come to the fore, it seems that in the coming time, the state government wants to avoid buying 21 quintals of paddy per acre from the farmers at the rate of Rs 3100 per quintal.
State Congress Communication Department President Sushil Anand Shukla said that the government has brought the Agricultural Produce Market Amendment Bill 2024 to avoid buying paddy from the farmers. So that the farmers are forced to sell their produce to traders outside the state at throwaway prices and the government is relieved of its responsibility of buying paddy.
