Bijapur. In Chhattisgarh’s Bijapur district, the police have arrested two Naxal associates along with lakhs of rupees. Both the Naxalites had reached the bank to exchange Rs 2,000 notes. They had 6 lakh rupees of 2000 denominations.
It may be mentioned that after the demonetisation of 2000 rupee, a large number of people are reaching the bank to deposit money. On the other hand, on Thursday, two Naxalites reached the bank with 6 lakh rupees in 2000 notes to deposit the amount. During this time, the jawans of Police Station Bijapur and DRG nabbed them. Rs 6 lakh in cash, 11 bank passbooks and anti-government pamphlets were also recovered from their possession. The arrested accused include Gajendra Madvi, leader of Silger Andolan and Mulvasi Bachao Manch, and Laxman Kunjam, a resident of Narsapur.
