Balod. 11 people have died in a horrific road accident on NH-30 in Balod district late on Wednesday night. All these people are from the same family. Those who were going from Bolero to the wedding ceremony. On the way, the truck hit the car near Jagtra village. Due to which everyone died on the spot. An injured one and a half year old girl died while being taken to Raipur.
According to the information, the Sahu family of Sorem village of Dhamtari district was going to Kanker. On Wednesday night at around 9.30 pm, his vehicle reached Jagatra in Balod on National Highway-30. Meanwhile, the truck coming from the front hit the Bolero. A child, 5 women and 4 men died on the spot. The search is on for the absconding truck driver. After the incident, the police team reached the spot on the information of the people passing through the highway. Then all have been sent for postmortem. Also, the injured girl was sent to the hospital for treatment. From where he was referred to Raipur in view of his condition. But he died on the way.
All the bodies have been kept at the Saudi of Gurur in Dhamtari district. Necessary legal procedures are being completed from here. In a short while all the dead bodies will be sent to their home village after postmortem. SP Dr. Jitendra told that a special team has been formed to investigate the incident. The absconding truck driver will be arrested as soon as possible.
