Vaccination drive underway in full swing in rural areas as well..

100% of the people of age group 45 years and above in various gram panchayats have received first dose of the vaccine.

Raipur: Vaccination drive is being conducted in full swing across all the districts of the state to prevent COVID-19 infection. People in rural areas are also keen to get vaccinated for protection against COVID-19. Many panchayats have achieved the goal of vaccinating 100% of the people of age group 45 years and above. People in tribal areas of the state, including backward tribes such as Pahadi Korva, Birhor, and others, are also appearing to be aware of the importance of vaccination. Panchayat Representatives including Panch-Sarpanch and grassroot workers are dedicatedly working to protect the villagers from COVID-19. Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel is reviewing and monitoring the progress of vaccination drive and COVID prevention measures daily, by interacting with the frontline workers of various departments including the field team of Health Department and mitanins via video conferencing.



Determination of field workers in Dharamjaigarh has resulted in 100% vaccination and COVID tests

Presently, when the entire world is suffering from the second wave of pandemic, villages of Chhattisgarh have remained untouched by this adversity. Talking about Dharamjaigarh block of Raigarh district, despite the 1000 active cases here, 154 gram panchayats have achieved 100% of the goal of providing the first dose of vaccination to the people of age 45 years and above.
Health workers are going door-to-door, creating awareness about vaccination. With the help of public representatives, they are doing the work of vaccinating people till late night.



People of Pahadi Korwa and Birhor tribe are also getting vaccinated

People from extremely backward tribes such as Pahadi Korva and Birhor in the hilly region of Dharamjaigarh can be seen enthusiastic for vaccination. Birhor people living in Kida, Khalbora, Kumhichua of Dharamjaigarh block got happily vaccinated, after consultation with health workers and mitanins. Pahadi Korva people of Chhapakchhar, Chhupipahar, Barghar and other remote villages have also shown their keenness to get vaccinated.

Cent Per Cent of the vaccination target achieved in Chalha village


In Chalha, a small village in the middle of the mountains, 35 km from Dharamjaigarh, all the people of age 45 years and above have been vaccinated. Sarpanch and Secretary of Chalha village have worked tirelessly to achieve this goald. Chalha village has become an inspiration for other villages today.



Cancer Patient Santosh sets an example of service to humanity

Health worker of Dharamjaigarh Sub Health Centre Paraghati Mr. Santosh Ghosh, who has been suffering from Cancer for last 3-4 years, has set a glorious example of service to humanity. He has ensured vaccination of more than 450 eligible beneficiaries at his sub-health centre and is conducting COVID test of symptomatic patients every day. He has set aside his pain and ailment to ensure effective implementation of the national programmes.



All the people of age 45 years and above vaccinated in various gram panchayats of Gaurela-Pendra-Marwahi district


Newly-constituted Gaurela-Pendra-Marwahi district has achieved 76.84% of the total target of vaccinating people of age 45 and above, whereas various gram panchayats of the district have attained 100% of the given vaccination target. This includes t0 gram panchayats including Amarpur, Bagrar, Barvasan, Charchendi, Chichgohna, Parasi.



94% of the people vaccinated with the first dose in 210 gram panchayats of Mahasamund district.

Under the ongoing vaccination drive, nearly 93.84 per cent of the people of age 45 years and above in 210 gram panchayats of Mahasamund district have been given the first dose of COVID vaccine. Against the target of vaccinating 73 thousand 913 people, 69 thousand 359 people have been vaccinated in the district.



100% of people of age 45 years and above in 127 gram panchayats of Kanker district have been vaccinated.


In 127 gram panchayats of Kanker district in the state, 100% of the people of age 45 years and above have been vaccinated against COVID-19.



More than 90% people have received vaccine dose in 428 gram panchayats of Rajnandgaon

Under the vaccination drive being conducted in Rajnandgaon district of the state, more than 90% of the people in 428 out of 813 gram panchayats of Rajnandgaon district have been vaccinated against COVID-19.
