Sukma: The new collector of the district, Devesh Kumar Dhruv, has assumed charge today. He took charge in the Collector’s chamber of the district office. After assuming charge, the senior officers of the district welcomed him by presenting a flower bouquet, he got introduced to the officers.

Prior to this, he has discharged responsibilities as Assistant Collector in Bilaspur district, SDM of Balodabazar subdivision of Balodabazar-Bhatapara district, SDM of Bijapur subdivision in Bijapur district, Narayanpur District Panchayat CEO and Bhilai Municipal Corporation Commissioner of Durg district. Mr. Dhruv is a 2018 batch IAS. Additional Collector Mr. Gajendra Thakur, APO Mr. Balwant Marko, DMM Mr. Satyaprakash Tiwari, Superintendent Mr. Rinku Dewangan, Reader Mr. Jitendra Diwan, Steno Suresh Prabhakar, Public Relations District Coordinator Mr. Kishan Kumar were present on the occasion of his assuming charge.
During the inspection, Mr. Dhruv introduced himself to the officers and employees present in the office and inquired about their work. He also instructed the officers to ensure better cleanliness in the district office and to complete their work in a better manner within the stipulated time period. He inspected the District Nazir Room, Collector Court, Nazul Room, NIC Room, Additional District Magistrate Room and Court, Revenue Accounts Branch, Nazarat Room, Incoming-Outgoing Room etc. located in the Joint District Office.
