Chhattisgarh liquor scam, notice to ED on the petition of Excise Secretary…

New Delhi / Raipur: Excise Secretary, Niranjan Das has filed a petition in the Supreme Court against the ED’s action in the liquor scam case. On this, the court has issued a notice to the ED. The case will be heard on 29th. The petition of businessman Arvind Singh and others will also be heard on the same day. Excise Secretary Niranjan Das in his petition termed the ED’s action as politically motivated, and challenged the provisions of the ED’s PMLA. A bench of Justice JK Maheshwari and Justice PL Narasimha allowed the petition and asked the ED to file a reply within 3 days. The case will be heard on 29th.

Similarly, the bench will also hear the petition of businessmen Arvind Singh, Amit Singh and Pinky Singh on 29th. Arvind Singh has termed the raid on ED as malicious in the liquor scam case. Along with this, he also challenged the provision of PNL of ED. The court will hear the bail plea of the main accused Anwar Dhebar on 29th itself. The main accused Anwar Dhebar is in judicial custody. His wife Karishma Dhebar has filed a petition in the Supreme Court, the petition was also approved. The hearing of this case will be held in the bench of Justice Sanjay Kishan and Justice Asanuddin Amanullah. For this, the date of hearing has been fixed on June 4.
