Pune: Maharashtra’s Pune police are investigating the suicidecase of 22-year-old TikTok star Pooja Chavan. Pune police have now found several call recordings from his mobile phone. According to media reports, the man pooja Chavan had spoken to many times is reportedly former Maharashtra minister and senior Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Rathore. Even 4-5 days before the death, the two had a long talk. Reports quoted sources as saying that one of these call recordings is about one and a half hours.
It may be recalled that Pooja Chavan had cheated her from a Pune building on February 7, 2021. He resigned from his post after the name of the then Maharashtra Forest Minister Sanjay Rathore came up in the case. Sanjay Rathore has been elected MLA from Digras assembly constituency in the Yavatmal district for the third time in a row. According to police information, ‘According to preliminary evidence from the deceased’s mobile phone, the person talking to Pooja Chavan appears to be Sanjay Rathore. Pooja had recorded the entire conversation. The conversation took place in the Banjara language, which is why it is being translated. Tell us that Pooja Chavan belonged to the same tribal ‘Banjara community to which Sanjay Rathore is also associated.
Pooja Chavan, originally from Beed in Maharashtra, was currently living in Pune. At the same time, he had joined an educational institution there. After Pooja’s suicide, there were allegations that she was in a relationship with Sanjay Rathore. Pooja’s mobile phone has been sent to the Forensic Science Laboratory in Pune for investigation and gathering evidence. CCTV footage of Yavatmal Medical College Hospital on the morning of February 6 has also been sent for examination.
