A rikshaw puller’s son is now an IAS..

News Edition 24 Desk: It’s a real story that is straight out of a film story. This is the story of Govind Jaiswal who is the son of Narayan Jaiswal who worked in a government ration depot. After some time Narayan Jaiswal loses his job and in a difficult situation he has bought rikshaws from his savings. He used to give those rikshaws to others on rent and earned good amount of money after some time through which he has also purchased a land.

Unfortunately, due to sickness of his wife Narayan Jaiswal spent all the money he saved and also sold the land for the treatment expenses of his wife. Unfortunately, his wife died leaving her son and husband. Narayan Jaiswal started driving the rickshaw so that his son do not suffer and helped him to study well. But Govind has to face humiliation and insult when he visited a friend’s house which changed the entire situation.


Govind was insulted by the family members of his friend saying that his father is an ordinary rikshaw puller which offended Govind. After this humiliation, Govind decided to grow in life and opted to become an IAS Officer. Narayan Jaiswal has encouraged his son by giving him Rs.40,000 for Civils coaching. After getting coaching in Delhi, Govind Jaiswal appeared for Civils examination in 2006 and obtained 48th rank in India. Now Govind Jaiswal is working as Sports Executive Director in Goa. This is the story of a common man who bounced back after facing insult and humiliation and became successful through sheer determination and hard work.
